VP Sara underscores MSME empowerment in rebuilding economy

The national government believes that empowering the local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is a key in rebuilding the Philippine economy, Vice President Sara Duterte said Wednesday.

During the launch of “Magnegosyo Ta' Day” livelihood program in San Pedro, Laguna, Duterte said that even the local government units have a critical role in facilitating a business-friendly environment and encouraging the growth of MSMEs in order to boost the country’s post-pandemic recovery.

(I believe that entrepreneurship produces better results because it provides more income, creates more jobs, and helps build a healthy and vibrant economy in our communities.)

Duterte added that through livelihood, people would be encouraged to work harder and become more motivated to face their challenges in life.

(When you're making money and you know it's because of your ability to think of and provide services, you’d be more motivated to face any challenge in life. When you make money and know that it came from your hard work, sweat, and sacrifice, it would make you feel better. You will not only be proud of what you have achieved and accomplished, but you will also be more careful about spending money. You will also be more enthusiastic, work harder, and you will love what you do more and give it a deeper value.) — Giselle Ombay/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
