Caloocan, San Fernando mayors seek talks with NLEX over RFID issues

The NLEX Corporation is seeking dialogue with the local government of Caloocan over the heavy traffic caused by the RFID system, according to Saleema Refran’s report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday.

Valenzuela City on Monday suspended NLEX's business permit due to the heavy traffic

“Isasanguni rin natin sa mga kasamahan natin ‘yung nagaano ng public safety and order, mga kapulisan,” he added.

In a statement, NLEX Corporation has said that it is “reviewing the situation and are doing everything necessary to address the issues” on the 100 percent cashless operations.

“These glitches that are occurring at the toll booths are simply a result of some adjustments that should be expected because the RFID implementation took effect only eight days ago,” it said. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
