PHL banks closed for Independence Day

Most banks are closed on Friday, June 12, in observance of the Philippines’ 122nd Independence Day.

BDO Unibank said all its branches are closed and operations will resume Monday, June 15. Online and mobile banking are available.

Bank of the Philippines, likewise, said all its branches as well as its BPI Family Savings Bank and BPI Direct BanKo branches and kiosks are closed. Branch operations will resume June 15.

In observance of the regular holiday, Security Bank’s branches nationwide are closed.

All branches of Philippine National Bank are closed, except its Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 branch which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Automated teller machines and digital banking services are available.

Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company are also closed, while its Metrobank Mobile App, Metrobank Online, and MetrobankDirect services are available for customers’ online banking needs.

Select branches of Land Bank of the Philippines are open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to accept clients’ Bureau of Internal Revenue payments:

Land Bank’s Bureau of Customs Manila International Container Port branch is open both on June 12 and 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to accommodate acceptance of customs duties and taxes.

EastWest Bank branches are all closed on June 12, while its automated teller machines, online and mobile banking services are available. Regular banking operations will resume on June 15.—AOL, GMA News
