Police reveal sketch of suspected gunman in trader’s slay in Subic

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 3 has released a composite sketch of the suspected gunman who killed businessman Dominic Sytin inside the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Compound last Wednesday.

It was PNP Region 3 Director Jigs Coronel who presented the sketch which showed a 40-year-old male, standing between 5' 8" to 5' 10".

The same sketch also described the suspect as having black hair, black eyes, a fair complexion, and with a chubby built.

Sytin, President of the United Auctioneers Inc. who was one of the pioneers in selling second hand imported vehicles in the country, was killed while he was on his way to Lighthouse Marina Resort Hotel.

Authorities also presented a CCTV footage on Friday showing that the gunman continued firing shots even after Sytin slumped to the ground.

Coronel said that the motive of the suspect for committing a crime is yet to be ascertained, but the police's initial investigation revealed that the motive could be business-related, labor issues, or marital problem.

SBMA Chair and Administrator Wilma Eisma and Olongapo City Director Benjie Sembrano were also present alongside Coronel during the press briefing.

The UP Womens Volleyball Team and the PSL Foton team also condoled with the family of Sytin, a patron of the abovementioned teams, in separate statements. — with reports from Julie C. Sionzon/MDM, GMA News
