Healthy kin of COVID-19 cases are ones in this barangay's isolation facility

In this barangay in Mandaluyong City, it is the healthy loved ones of COVID-19 patients who are brought to an isolation facility.

According to JP Soriano’s report on “24 Oras,” Barangay Namayan chairman Dondon Francisco said this was the barangay's way of preventing the spread of COVID-19 especially in a household with limited space.

“Masikip kasi ‘yung lugar nila, so automatic ‘yun lahat sila isa-swab. Pagkatapos as soon as malaman namin in three to four days ‘yung result, kinuha agad namin ‘yung mga negatives, naiiwan kaagad ‘yung nag-positive,” Francisco said.

Francisco said residents need not worry as the facility was complete with necessary items.

“Meron akong lutuan, sila ‘yung nagluluto. May ref ako diyan, may TV ako diyan para manood. Tapos lahat, kung ano ‘yung kailangan nila nandyan, CR, lahat,” Francisco said.

He said the barangay made sure that everyone in the facility was healthy.

Meanwhile, those who tested positive for the illness are also given assistance such as food.

“Yung positive, pinadadalan ng pagkain na luto, we follow the [Department of Health] protocol,” he said.

At present, four families in the area are using the reverse isolation facility. -Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
