'The Bourne Legacy''s shooting locations in Manila

Metro Manila will play itself in "The Bourne Legacy," the fourth installment of the spy action thriller franchise. Click on the icons for exact locations. Shooting starts January 11, 2012.  The film picks up where 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum left off. Matt Damon does not reprise his role as Jason Bourne in "The Bourne Legacy." Instead, the film derives its story from a new set of characters who have to deal with the consequences of Jason Bourne's actions. The story is reportedly written such that Matt Damon can make a comeback as Bourne in a future film for the series. The film stars Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz.  In an interview on the GMA News program Quick Response Team, Jun Juban, Philippine producer of "The Bourne Legacy," tells reporter Jiggy Manicad that the film's producers chose Manila over Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Jakarta, Indonesia as a shooting location due to the hospitality shown by Filipinos. "Malaking bagay ito kasi pinamilian tayo eh. It was Ho Chi Minh and Jakarta tapos eto nga ang napili (Manila) because of the friendliness of the Filipinos. Yun ang pinakamalaking bagay.
