P1-M destroyed in Parañaque industrial building fire


At least P1 million in property was destroyed in a fire that razed an industrial building in Parañaque City Monday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Tuesday.
 
In its 6 a.m. report, the NDRRMC said the fire occurred at 70 Japan Street in Barangay Don Bosco in the Better Living area in Parañaque City.
 
"The fire allegedly started at the second floor level mid portion of the ladies' barracks," it said.
 
It added the building of Asia Embroidery was owned by Dionisio Chan, Lourdes Raga and Jimmy Po.
 
No one was initially reported hurt in the fire, which was put out at 12:24 p.m.
 
Arson investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire. –KG, GMA News
