Relatives of 72 workers who were killed in a fire that hit a sandal factory in Valenzuela City marked the first month after the tragedy Saturday with a protest action.
Several relatives gathered near the site of the fire seeking justice for their loved ones, radio dzBB's James Agustin reported.
Many of them carried streamers calling for justice for their lost relatives.
They also held a program at the covered court of Barangay Ugong in Valenzuela City.
Many became emotional as they recalled their loved ones having worked at the factory for years.
However, rain in the area delayed a plan to march to the site of the fire. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
