Pasig’s Eusebio family endorses Marcos Jr.

Vice presidential candidate Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has secured the endorsement of the politically influential Eusebio family of Pasig City.

“One hundred percent tayong tutulong kay VP (vice president) Bongbong Marcos. Sisiguruhin namin na 100 percent na maipapanalo namin siya dito sa Pasig City,” Pasig City Councilor Ricky Eusebio said during Marcos’ campaign rally held at the covered court of Barangay Maybunga Tuesday night.

Ricky Eusebio, who is running for congressman, is the son of former city mayor Vicente "Enteng" Eusebio.

Vicente’s wife, Idad, had also served as mayor of the city as well as the couple’s other son, Bobby.

Bobby’s wife, Maribel, is the incumbent mayor of Pasig.

Ricky vowed that the whole family will campaign for Marcos to ensure his victory in the city.

“Siya ang unang vice presidential candidate na bumaba dito sa atin,” Ricky said.

For his part, Marcos expressed his gratitude to the Eusebios, saying that the family’s support is a “big boost” to his chances of winning the vice presidency.

“Maraming salamat sa mga Eusebio na matagal na naming kasama. Maraming salamat sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap. Kapag ganyan naman kainit ang pagtanggap, aba’y nawawala ang aking pagod,” Marcos said.

Before the rally, Marcos held a motorcade around Pasig that traversed the villages of Kapasigan, Pinagbuhatan, Palatiw, San Miguel, Caniogan, and Maybunga.

On Monday, Marcos also secured the endorsement of San Juan City Mayor Guia Gomez, partner of former President and incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.

Marcos had earlier secured the endorsements of several dominant political figures in north Luzon, namely, former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singsons, incumbent Pangasinan governor Amado Espino Jr. and gubernatorial aspirant Mark Cojuangco, incumbent San Fernando City, La Union mayor Pablo Ortega and gubernatorial aspirant Mario Ortega.

On Wednesday, Marcos held a motorcade around the cities of Caloocan and Malabon. The motorcade was ongoing as of posting time.
