NAIA-3 hit by power outage

A power outage hit the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City on Saturday night, causing a disruption in the processing of passengers.

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) spokesperson David de Castro told Super Radyo dzBB that the brownout started around 8 p.m., though electricity had already been restored in some areas of the terminal "allowing for the processing of passengers."

However, power was restored only briefly, with the terminal again plunged into darkness at 9 p.m. Power was finally restored at 2 a.m.

De Castro said that they were trying to determine the cause of the power outage, and they apologized for the night's inconvenience.
