Female passenger alleges harassment by Grab driver

A female passenger alleged on Thursday that a driver of app-based vehicle service Grab committed "foul behavior" against her during the course of her travel.

In a Facebook post that has since gone viral, Czarina Obe Nicodemus identified the perpetrator as William dela Cruz, driver of GrabCar (Sedan) with a plate number WPQ 474.

"Nag grab car ako para relax ang biyahe pero what happened is that the other way around lalo ako na stressed," Nicodemus said.

Multiple efforts by GMA News Online to get the side of Grab went unanswered.

Nicodemus said she considered not exposing the full name of the driver and the plate number of Grab car.

However, her mother and her friends forced her to post the driver's identity on the social networking site  "to warn everyone of his 'foul' behavior as a Grab car driver."

"I am asking everyone, Tama ba na pag-sakay ko pa lang sabihan ako ng driver ng, 'Ganyan mga tipo ko, katulad mo.' Mali diba? A grab car driver should NOT initiate a conversation sa passenger nya," she said.

The female passenger added that dela Cruz showed a pornographic picture in his cellphone.

"He was like telling me a story about his family and I'm just listening then nagulat ako he showed me a pic ng mga anak nya then he browsed again a pic from his phone bigla siya nag pakita ng something like a pic ng 'PORN,' which is not right."

Nicodemus also revealed that Grab driver told her sensitive stories, which she found offensive.

"While we are waiting sa green lights ng stop light there was a girl wearing leggings and sando bigla niya pinoint out then he said, 'ganyan mag suot 'yung ano ko eh. Bakat, Bakat lahat...'," she said.

"He shared stories which are not to be discussed too personal like, 'Lagi ko inaano ung mga naging girlfriend ko noon (another foul)," she added.

Nicodemus said she pretended that she is taking a phone call as an effort to stop the driver from talking to her.

"I am very sleepy during that time pero pinili ko na wag matulog kasi medyo natatakot ako. Then parang nahalata ata nya he insisted na matulog ako pero syempre ayoko," she said.

"So guys, please be aware of this grab car driver. I got him around Pasay are," Nicodemus added. —John Ted Cordero/GMA News
