A sinking cargo vessel anchored in Manila Bay drew the attention of bikers, joggers, photographers, and Coast Guard authorities along Roxas Boulevard near the US Embassy early Sunday morning.

A report by Mao dela Cruz on Super Radyo dzBB said that the cargo vessel is listing to the left (port side) as seawater slowly swallows the ship inch by inch.

Dela Cruz quoted bystanders as saying that the ship was in normal position several moments ago until they began to see it tilting to its left side.

As of posting time, the report said the stern of the ship was already submerged.

An initial information indicated that the ship has been anchored in Manila Bay since 2009, when Philippine Coast Guard took control of it off Mariveles, Batatan for smuggling firearms.
