CARDBOARD ON BODY SAYS 'DRUG PUSHER NG CELEBRITIES'

Sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez shot dead in Quezon City

A sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez was shot dead in Quezon City, before dawn Sunday.

Police said the body of British-Filipino Ma. Aurora Moynihan was found along Temple Drive near Giraffe Street in Barnagay Ugong Norte at around 1:55 a.m.

Police Officer 1 Mark Vitto of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said a cardboard was found on Moynihan's body, which says, "Drug pusher ng mga celebrities, kasunod na kayo!"

A report from Bam Alegre on GMA News TV’s Balitanghali said Moynihan sustained gunshot wounds from the chest area.

Vitto said that according to witnesses, Moynihan was brought to the area by unidentified men on board a silver Toyota Fortuner, and then they heard a series of gunshots.

The report said the suspects left Moynihan’s corpse on the side street and sped towards White Plains Subdivision.

Police forensic investigators found five cartridges of caliber .40 bullets and four sachets of suspected shabu at the crime scene.

The family of the actress has yet to make a statement on the incident.

QCPD director Sr. Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar said investigators are determining if Moynihan's killing was related to drugs.

Eleazar said in a press conference that they have turned over the mobile phone recovered from Moynihan to the Philippine National Police's Anti-Cybercrime Group.

He said they may get leads from the contents of the mobile phone.

The police official also said that they were still looking witnesses and were checking the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area where the victim was killed.

He said Moynihan's family has assured their cooperation with the police. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/ALG, GMA News
