Fire leaves 3,000 families homeless in Tondo
At least 3,000 families were left homeless after a ten-hour fire hit Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila before midnight Tuesday.
Bureau of Fire Protection authorities said the fire reached Task Force Delta before it was declared under control at around 6:30 a.m.
The fire was put out at 7:24 a.m. according to the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region, a report on radio dzBB said.

Photos shared by radio dzBB on Twitter showed hundreds of residents gathered on a street outside the Parola Compound in Barangay 20, Zone 2.

The fire gutted at least 1,000 homes, authorities said. Seven people have also been reported injured.
Affected residents have sought shelter temporarily at the Iglesia Ni Cristo compound nearby. Others stayed at the Delpan Gym and the barangay multi-purose hall, GMA News' Mav Gonzales reported on News To Go.
