Youth group marks EDSA-1’s 31st year at People Power Monument

Some members of an activist youth group trooped to the People Power Monument along EDSA early Saturday morning to mark the 31st anniversary of the popular uprising that toppled the strongman Ferdinand Marcos.

A report on Super Radyo dzBB said that the youths who showed up at the monument expressed their opposition to the burial of the remains of dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Several activities are being lined up for today at the People Power Monument and at the Our Lady of EDSA Shrine to mark the 31st anniversary of the 1986 People Power uprising that brought down a dictator and restored democratic institutions in the Philippines. — LBG, GMA News
