Immigration denies detaining Saudi woman at NAIA
The Bureau of Immigration on Monday denied detaining a Saudi woman, contrary to the claims of Saudi Arabian Female Empowerment (SAFE) Movement.
Bureau spokesperson Antonette Mangrobang said they have no information regarding the detention of a woman named Dina Ali Lasloom at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
"Our Port Operation Chief [Red Mariñas] said that we have not detained anybody with that name po," Mangrobang said in a text message to GMA News Online.
Based on a statement by the Saudi Arabian Female Empowerment (SAFE) Movement posted on Twitter, Lasloom arrived in Manila on Monday around 3:30 a.m. when "some airport officials took her passport away and prevented her from continuing her flight to Australia."

SAFE said Lasloom was travelling to Australia, where she intends to seek asylum, after receiving death threats in Saudi Arabia.
A video also surfaced on Twitter showing Lasloom allegedly being held at NAIA.
