Police arrest 16 women for working without permit at bars in Valenzuela

Sixteen women were arrested on Wednesday by police in 10 karaoke TV bars in Valenzuela City for having no work permits, according to a report on Unang Balita on Thursday.

The women were working in KTV bars along MacArthur Highway in Barangays Bagbagin, Lawang Bato, Paso de Blas, and Canumay.

Superintendent Reynaldo Medina Jr, assistant chief of police for operations of Valenzuela Police, said it is important for women working in such establishments to have a working permit from the City Hall and have a medical checkup with the City Health Office.

This is to avoid having minors working in these establishments. —KG, GMA News
