GMA News' Oscar Oida reported on Unang Balita that the image of the Black Nazarene was returned to the Quiapo Church around 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
Manila Police District Chief Police Chief Superintendent Joel Coronel said the Traslacion lasted for 22 hours, two minutes and 35 seconds.
Police personnel tried to maneuver the carrosa bearing the image through Plaza Miranda when the gates of the Quiapo church were closed.
They failed, however, when a few minutes after 2 a.m. devotees moved towards the gate and blocked the pathway for the police.

The incident happened a few more times with the Hijos del Nazareno pleading with the people to give way.
Meanwhile, Coronel said the feast day celebration was generally peaceful even when the participants of the procession reached about 6,314,000.
The number of devotees who participated in the other activities and those who attended mass has not yet been determined.
