Ex-PBA cager Mark Cardona arrested for injuring live-in partner

Police on Saturday arrested former Philippine Basketball Association player Mark Cardona for allegedly injuring his live-in partner with a bladed weapon.

The Makati City Police said in a report that Cardona brought his live-in partner Bianca Nicole Jackes to the Makati Medical Center early Saturday after sustaining a stab wound on the left arm.

It said that after being informed of Jackes' situation, investigators went to the hospital to interview her.

Police said that according to Jackes, Cardona stabbed her on her left arm with a bladed weapon during heated argument inside their condominium unit in Barangay San Antonio, Makati City at around 5:30 a.m.

Based on Jackes' story and complaint, policemen arrested Cardona.

Cardona was also arrested last February for allegedly pawning a stolen SUV. —ALG, GMA News
