Provincial buses banned on EDSA in April —MMDA

Provincial buses will no longer be allowed to ply along EDSA starting April this year, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has said.

According to Susan Enriquez's report on "24 Oras", passengers from the north will have to alight provincial buses at an integrated bus terminal that will be constructed in Valenzuela and from there transfer to buses en route to other points in Metro Manila.

Those from the south, on the other hand, will have to get off at an integrated terminal in Santa Rosa, Laguna where they can transfer to city buses.

The 46 provincial bus terminals along EDSA will gradually be closed, according to the MMDA.

Fences will also be put up along EDSA except for areas designated as loading and unloading bays. —Dona Magsino/NB, GMA News
