Cops nab alleged drug pusher in QC buy bust

The police arrested an alleged drug pusher in a buy bust operation in Barangay San Bartolome, Quezon City.

According to the report of Cesar Apolinario on GMA's 24 Oras on Monday, P16,000 worth of suspected shabu was involved in the transaction conducted by the operatives on Friday.

A total of P40,000 worth of illegal drugs were recovered from the suspect's possession. His identity was not disclosed so as not to pre-empt the follow-up operations of the police.

Catching the said drug suspect was challenging because he was quite elusive, the cops said.

"Syempre droga yan, nag-iingat din siya kaya may pagpag din siyang style. Papupuntahin ka dun sa lugar, tingin namin nasa paligid lang at after 'nun pag 'di siya kumbinsido, papalipatin ka ng lugar kaya inabot tayo ng hapon," said Police Senior Inspector Dennis Francisco, chief of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit-Intelligence Branch of the Quezon City Police District Station 4.

Authorities have been able to track down the suspect after three of his supposed co-members in a drug-dealing group were arrested on Wednesday in a separate buy-bust operation.

Two others who are live-in partners were nabbed by police on Thursday night. Suspected shabu amounting to P2.4 million was recovered in their possession. — Dona Magsino/BAP, GMA News
