LRT-1 commuter nabbed over bomb prank

A commuter was arrested in Pasay City on Monday for cracking a bomb joke while in the LRT-1 premises.

According to a report by Luisito Santos on GMA Super Radyo dzBB, commuter Akbar Ismael was queued for a security inspection at the entrance of Gil Puyat station when he joked that the man in front of him has a bomb in his bag.

The security guard overheard Ismael, and the commuter was immediately searched for explosives.

Though nothing was found, Ismael was detained and brought to a police station for violating Presidential Decree No. 1727 which prohibits such ill-considered pranks. — Dona Magsino/DVM, GMA News
