PDEA nabs 4 Chinese, seizes P1.1-B shabu in Ayala Alabang drug raid

Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested four Chinese citizens and seized P1.1 billion worth of shabu in a drug raid at Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.

According to Isa Umali's report on Super Radyo dzBB, PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said at least 149 kilograms of suspected shabu were seized confiscated during the buy-bust operation.

One of the suspects was a senior citizen identified as Emmanuel Pascual, 79. He denied any involvement in the illegal drug operation.

The others were identified as Chia Kian Kok, 43, Wuyi, 19 and Go Kei Kei, 40.

Aquino said the suspects were packing illegal drugs into tea bags and cans of biscuits inside the supposed residence-turned-drug lab in the exclusive subdivision.

"So these are the packaging that were seized by other nations, such as Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, the same packaging... It's actually a teabag na inilalagay nila sa loob ng lata," Aquino said.

"So this is ready for delivery maybe tonight or early morning tomorrow. It's good that we are able to detect the movement group," he added. —Margaret Claire Layug/NB, GMA News
