Ex-Makati mayor JunJun Binay's secretary shot by motorcycle-riding gunman

The executive secretary of former Makati City mayor Junjun Binay was shot by a motorcycle-riding gunman on Thursday evening in Barangay Olympia in Makati City, Vonne Aquino reported on Unang Balita.

Monaliza Bernardo was shot from behind by the suspect as she entered her residence along Makiling Street in Barangay Olympia.

Bernardo was brought to the Makati Medical Center by a certain Reynaldo Bahoyo for medical treatment.

The suspect, who was on board a blue Honda Wave motorcycle, fled towards South Avenue and turned left to Barasoain Street.

Makati City police station personnel recovered one empty shell of .45 caliber pistol.

Investigation is ongoing to determine the motive for the shooting and the identity of the suspect. — BAP, GMA News
