Cabbie arrested for charging P6,000 from NAIA Terminal 3 to Terminal 1

A taxi driver was arrested after he allegedly charged a Chinese national and his companions P6,000 to bring them from the Terminal 3 to the Terminal 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

In a report on GMA's "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, the driver was identified as Eugene Del Rosario.

The travelers had accepted the exorbitant fare as they were in a hurry, but they reported the driver to authorities once they entered Terminal 1.

Del Rosario was apprehended at the taxi lane of Terminal 3, where he was waiting for more passengers.

It was also later discovered that Del Rosario did not have the necessary license to operate as a taxi driver, as his license was confiscated due to an illegal parking violation. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/DVM, GMA News
