At least 13 women were rescued from a KTV that is allegedly being used as a prostitution den in Makati City, James Agustin reported for Unang Balita.
Makati police operatives conducted a raid on the KTV bar, which is located inside a hotel in Barangay Poblacion in Makati City.
The police saw male customers, who were mostly Chinese, and invited 16 of them to the police station.
Police Colonel Rogelio Simon, Makati Police Chief, said they received information that the KTV is used as a front for the operations of a prostitution den. There were also condoms inside the rooms.
The owner of the KTV, Shih Fang Chen, a Taiwanese denied the allegations and that they were just renting one floor of the hotel.
The Makati Police will conduct and investigation to determine whether the management of the hotel also has to answer to allegations and to check the KTV's business permit.
