DPWH: Structure of Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge complete by June

The main structure of the bridge connecting Bonifacio Global City and Ortigas is set to be completed in the next four months, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

"Ang target namin by June of this year, matapos itong main span ng bridge and then by first half of next year, made-deliver na 'yung project," DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said in a report on GMA News' "Balitanghali."

He was referring to the Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge and Viaduct, which is part of the P4.012-billion Bonifacio Global City to Ortigas Road Link Project.

The project involves the construction of a four-lane bridge across the Pasig River and a four-lane viaduct structure traversing Lawton Avenue.

As of February 9, data from the government's Build, Build, Build website showed that the project implementation was 22.2% complete. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/LBG, GMA News
