Suspected Abu Sayyaf member nabbed in QC

A suspected Abu Sayyaf member was arrested in Culiat, Quezon City for illegal possession of firearms on Tuesday morning.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Wednesday, the alleged local terrorist was identified as Adzman Tanjal, 32.

Police said authorities had implemented a search warrant against Tanjal who is presently residing in Libyan Street, Salaam Compound.

Authorities were able to seize one MK 2 Fragmentation Hand Grenade and one COLT MARK IV caliber 45 pistol with one magazine loaded with six live ammunition during the operation.

The suspect and all recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the QCPD for proper disposition. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
