Photos taken by GMA News reporter James Agustin showed there were hardly any vehicles on EDSA northbound from Ortigas to Cubao at 7:39 a.m.
Police and soldiers have been manning checkpoints at entry points to Metro Manila since 12:00 a.m. Sunday, checking every vehicle and passenger.
This has caused traffic at checkpoints.
The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 111 as of Saturday, the Department of Health said.
The government raised the Code Red Sub-Level 2 alert on Thursday. —KG, GMA News
