Mandaluyong LGU gives assistance to PUMs, PUIs; says COVID-19 cases at 11

The local government of Mandaluyong City on Saturday gave the assurance that persons under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs) due to COVID-19 are being given assistance throughout their quarantine period.

Mandaluyong Mayor Menchie Abalos said food packs are being delivered to the homes of PUIs and PUMs throughout their 14-day quarantine period to ensure they will be strong and healthy and won't have to venture out to buy food, according to a report by Mark Makalalad on Dobol B sa News TV aired on GMA News TV.

On Friday night, fresh vegetables arrived from Nueva Ecija and were added to the grocery packs set for delivery to PUIs and PUMs on Saturday.

The LGU said it is expecting vegetable deliveries also from other sister cities.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Mandaluyong City stood at 11 as of Saturday morning.

The breakdown of COVID-19 cases are as follows:

  • Barangay Highway Hills: 4
  • Barangay Plainview: 1
  • Barangay Addition Hills: 1
  • Barangay Wack-Wack: 1
  • Barangay Daang Bakal: 1
  • Barangay Hulo: 1
  • Barangay Vergara: 1
  • Barangay Mauway: 1
