San Juan Mayor Zamora to undergo self-quarantine after staff tests positive for COVID-19

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora will undergo a 14-day self-quarantine, as one of his staff in the Mayor's Office tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In an advisory, Zamora said he is currently asymptomatic and will continue to manage city operations from home.

"Mayor Zamora is in perfect physical condition and has no symptoms at all. He will continue to manage the day to day operations of the City of San Juan from home, most especially the medical and social aspects of our battle versus COVID-19," the advisory read.

As of Saturday, March 28, 2020, there have been a total of 1,075 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines — 35 of whom have since recovered, while 68 have died.
