COVID-19 cases in Caloocan reaches 35; death toll at 11


The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Caloocan City has reached 35, the city government said in a bulletin.

Seven new cases were added as of 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the death toll climbed to 11 after three deaths were reported.



No new recoveries were recorded, thus the number of total recoveries remained at four.

The city government said all of the cases are being closely monitored.

Currently, there are 418 persons under monitoring and 187 persons under investigation in the city.

The local government of Caloocan also encouraged the public to be vigilant and avoid false information.

The Philippines has so far recorded a total of 2,311 cases of COVID-19 including 96 fatalities and 50 recoveries, as of April 1.—AOL, GMA News
