Number of COVID-19 cases in Makati City stays at 158


The number of persons who tested positive for the virus that causes coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Makati City on Saturday has remained at 158, for the second day in a row.

Based on the data posted on the city government's official social media page, the number of cases confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) is 158 while there are 121 cases turned over to the Makati Health Department.

There are a total of six deaths in the city while six individuals have recovered.

The city government also posted the status of COVID-19 cases in each barangay.

"Nakipag-usap si Mayora Abby sa lahat ng mga punong barangay ngayong araw (Sabado) na ilabas ang listahan upang magsilbi itong panawagan sa Makatizens na mag-ingat at lalong pagtibayin ang bayanihan sa kanilang komunidad nang maiwasan ang pagdami ng kaso ng COVID-19."

The barangay with the most number of cases Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) is Pembo with 48, followed by Rizal with 47 cases, Poblacion with 40 cases, Comembo 36 cases, and West Rembo with 31 cases.

Meanwhile, there are 562 Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) and 252 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs).

Residents are reminded to follow social distancing measures and disinfect their surroundings twice a day (8 p.m. and 8 a.m.).
