DOH: Quezon City reaches 500 mark in COVID-19 positive cases


The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported that there are 500 confirmed cases of persons who tested positive for the virus that causes coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Quezon City.

The Quezon City government reported that there are  458 COVID-19 cases with complete address in the city.

Meanwhile, the total number of validated cases by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices is 336.

There are no new deaths in the city, and the death toll remains at 34.

Meanwhile the number of people who recovered from the disease remains at 14.

On Saturday, the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Quezon City Fire Department have disinfected 523 locations in 142 barangays.

The barangays with the most number of cases (with complete addresses) per district are:

  • District 1 (71 patients): Bahay Toro - 9
  • District 2 (29 patients): Batasan Hills - 18
  • District 3 (62 patients): Matandang Balara - 15
  • District 4 (98 patients): Bagong Lipunan ng Crame - 9; Tatalon - 9
  • District 5 (27 patients): Fairview - 5; San Bartolome - 5
  • District 6 (49 patients): Tandang Sora - 13; Culiat - 12; Pasong Tamo -11

 

The Quezon City government has launched the Kalingang Kyusi program, which provides financial assistance of P2,000 to drivers of PUJs, tricycles, pedicabs, including market vendors, solo parents, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) whose livelihoods are affected by the enhanced community quarantine. BAP, GMA News
