Pasig city hall frontliners undergo psycho-social therapy

Amid the stress of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto had frontliners from the city hall undergo psycho-social therapy.

"Grabe 'yung pagod nila, eh. Grabe 'yung stress levels nila. Mapa-ospital man o 'yung mga emergency responders natin, grabe 'yung stress, but we can't forget their well-being also," Sotto said in Mariz Umali's Wednesday report on 24 Oras.

Meanwhile, though tricycle transportation services remain prohibited in the city, GMA News found a tricycle transporting three people.

Two women were found crying inside the tricycle while holding a seemingly unconscious person.

"The general rule, 'yung binigay sa atin ng (Inter-Agency Task Force), hindi ho talaga pwede. Pero kung talaga naman nakita mo na mamatay na 'yung kamag-anak mo, sa tingin ko handa ka nang lumabag ng batas, eh, kasi mamatay na 'yung tao," Sotto said in defense.

However, the mayor reiterated that this was still prohibited.

"Case (to) case na po 'yan. Pero we don't want to send the wrong message na pinapagayan po natin. Hindi po talaga pwede," he added.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Pasig climbed to 147 on Wednesday with seven new cases with 25 fatalities and 31 recoveries. -MDM, GMA News
