QC gov't reports zero new COVID-19 cases; total cases remain at 1,104


The local government of Quezon City on Saturday said the total coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city remained at 1,104, with no new confirmed cases reported since Friday.

However, the death toll rose to 118, while total recoveries climbed to 142 as of 11 p.m. on Saturday.

“Ayon sa Department of Health, walang bagong naitalang kaso ng #COVID19PH sa Quezon City ngayong araw,” the QC government said in a Facebook post.

According to the QC government, they have recorded 12 new deaths and nine new recoveries, as of 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Barangay Batasan Hills has the most number of COVID-19 cases with 46 cases, as well as fatalities with seven and recoveries with six.

“Maaari magbago pa ang bilang ng mga kaso sa lungsod dahil na rin sa isinasagawang community-based testing,” the city government said.

As of Saturday, the country had 7,294 confirmed COVID-19 cases, the Department of Health said.

Of this number, 792 recovered while 494 died. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
