Quezon City COVID-19 cases increases to 1,269

There are 10 new cases of persons who tested positive for the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Quezon City, the local government reported based on information from the Department of Health.

The total number of confirmed cases in Quezon City is 1,269 from yesterday's tally of 1,259.

For the second day in a row the LGU reported that there are no new deaths caused by the disease. The death toll stays at 125.

The total number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 1,098 while the number of cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices is 926.

As of Wednesday, there are 602 active COVID-19 cases in the city.

The number of recoveries increased with 17 new cases, bringing the total to 199.

Quarantine facility

The HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 11 available rooms for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients.

At the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 136 rooms/beds are used by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 148 beds are available for use.

There is no report on the update on community-based testing that were conducted in the city’s community-based testing centers, local government hospitals and by the QCESU.

Quarantine violators

As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the number of violators is lower with only 18 residents  apprehended for violating the enhanced community quarantine protocols. -- BAP, GMA News
