Quezon City now has 1,339 COVID-19 cases

The Quezon City government on Monday announced, based on information from the Department of Health, the total number of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in in the city is 1,339.

The total number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 1,191 while the number of cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices is 1,054.

As of May 4, 2020, there are 658 active COVID-19 cases in the city.

There are six new recoveries, bringing the total to 264 cases.

The death toll, meanwhile, has reached 132 with three new deaths reported on Monday.

Quarantine facility

The HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 8  available rooms for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients.  There are 26 confirmed patients and 7 suspected patients in HOPE 1 facility.

At the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 109 rooms/beds are used by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 175 beds are available.

Community based testing

The QC local government opened additional testing centers. One is located at the Esteban Abada Elementary School and the second center is at the Batasan Hills National Highschool, respectively.

On May 4, a total of 202 tests were conducted in the community based testing centers and local government hospitals and by the QCESU.

On Tuesday, the testing center in Old Balara Covered Court will resume its operations. -- BAP, GMA News
