COVID-19 cases in QC rise to 1,518
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Quezon City went up to 1,518 as of 7 p.m. on Friday, the QC local government said.
Of that number, 1,397 were verified to have complete addresses in Quezon City.
The QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (QCESU) and District Health Offices were able to validate 1,156 cases.
The number of active cases meanwhile was 685.
Twelve new recoveries were reported as of 7 p.m. on Friday, bringing the total recoveries to 337.
Meanwhile, two new deaths were recorded, putting the death toll at 134.
Thirty-four barangays are under extreme enhanced community quarantine as of Friday night.

The QC local government said its HOPE 1 quarantine facility houses 20 confirmed patients and seven suspected patients. Fourteen rooms were still available as of Friday night.
The HOPE 2 facility, meanwhile, has 111 rooms and beds which are being used by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients. A total of 173 beds were still available as of Friday night. This is where those who have been tested in the city’s community-based testing are brought to for self-isolation pending the release of COVID-19 test results.
As of Friday, 278 tests were conducted to screen for COVID-19 in community-based testing centers, local government hospitals, and by the QCESU. —KG, GMA News
