Pacquiao, Jack Ma foundations donate another 50,000 test kits to San Lazaro, PGH

The Manny Pacquiao Foundation on Thursday turned over 50,000 PCR-based test kits and reagents for COVID-19 detection to two hospitals in Manila.

According to the office of Senator Manny Pacquiao, these supplies were donated by his friend, Chinese magnate Jack Ma, who founded the e-commerce giant Alibaba.

Representatives of San Lazaro Hospital and the Philippine General Hospital received the donations.

Last March, the two foundations also provided 50,000 COVID-19 test kits to the country.

As of May 14, the Philippines recorded a total of 11,876 cases of COVID-19 with 2,337 recoveries and 790 deaths.

More than 184,000 individuals, so far, have undergone the COVID-19 test nationwide. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
