Total lockdown extended in Caloocan barangay after 25 test positive for COVID-19

The total lockdown of Barangay 156 in Bagong Baryo, Caloocan City has been extended until May 20 after 25 residents tested positive for COVID-19.

The lockdown was originally only supposed to last for 48 hours and end on Friday, according to a 24 Oras report on Thursday.

According to the report, a woman who tried to get past the checkpoint during the lockdown may face charges after arguing with police officers.

She said she was just supposed to hand out a bag to someone near the area, and claimed that officials at the checkpoint disrespected her. — Jamil Santos/BM, GMA News
