Marikina allows tricycles, pedicabs to resume operations starting Sunday

Tricycles and pedicabs will resume operations in Marikina on Sunday after they were given clearance by the city government.

The Marikina government announced on Saturday that Mayor Marcelino Teodoro had decided to allow tricycles and pedicabs to operate after Metro Manila was placed under a more  relaxed modified enhanced community quarantine.

The city government assured that drivers will undergo coronavirus testing in the following days to prevent possible transmission.

The local government added that they expect tricycle and pedicab drivers and operators to observe safety guidelines and social distancing measures. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LBG, GMA News
