Joggers return to Roxas Boulevard under MECQ

Joggers resumed their exercise regimens along Roxas Boulevard after Metro Manila was downgraded to a modified enhanced community quarantine on Saturday.

According to a 24 Oras report by Jonathan Andal on Sunday, joggers flocked to the boulevard to get their early morning exercise.

In contrast, the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, another popular area among joggers, was empty of people.

Guards manning the area said exercising was still prohibited at the complex.

“Pupuwede pong limited outdoor exercise allowed.

Meanwhile, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said there were certain kinds of masks that were not advisable for joggers or people who exercise outdoors.

Kapag kasi N95 mahirap lumabas 'yung hangin,” she said.

— Julia Mari Ornedo/DVM, GMA News
