Quezon City gov't reports 2,028 COVID-19 cases with 780 recoveries, 170 deaths

The Quezon City government on Wednesday reported that, based on information from the Department of Health, there are 2,028 cases of persons who have tested positive for the virus that causes coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The total number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 1,852 while the total number of cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices is 1,682.

There are currently 732 active COVID-19 cases in the city.

As of May 27, 2020 at 7 p.m. Quezon City reported 7 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in the city to 780.

There was one reported new case of death on Wednesday, brining the total number of deaths to 170.

Quarantine facility

The HOPE 1 quarantine facility has reached full capacity for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients.  There are 30 confirmed patients, 11 suspected and probable patients in HOPE 1 facility.

At the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 249  rooms/beds are occupied by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 45 beds are available. Those who have been tested in QC’s community-based testing are brought in HOPE 2 for self-isolation while waiting for their results.

The HOPE 3 Facility is equipped with 84 beds, cribs, bassinets and other baby essentials. As of May 27, 60 confirmed patients have been admitted to the facility.  -- BAP, GMA News
