Cop involved in dispute with tenants relieved from post –Pasay police chief

The cop allegedly forced a tenants to vacate their rented house amid the strict quarantine measures has been relieved from his post pending probe on the incident, the chief of Pasay City police said on Thursday.

Dilag did not identify the cop but he said the policeman was previously assigned in Baclaran.

In a video which has gone viral in social media showed the angry cop cursing and shouting at the tenants. The uploader of the video, Mary Nobleza, said in her post that the cop forced them to leave last April 12 from the house in Barangay 145.

Nobleza said.

Nobleza said she was informed that she could only get their other things if they will pay their outstanding balance.

"Ehh wala nga kami kapera-pera kasi walang trabaho!!!

In the video, the Baclaran cop threatened the tenants, who he claimed were rude to his son. The cop also said he was furious because the tenants kept on arguing with him.

The woman who was filming the incident could be heard crying in the video because the cop supposedly hurt one of the tenants.

Umalis kayo rito baka magkagulo tayo rito. G*g* kayo ah!" the cop said in the video.

Meanwhile, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said she ordered the police to look into the incident, noting that it is very disturbing that police frontliners were involved in this kind of incident amid the health crisis.

“Our policemen should not only be in the front lines of ensuring peace and order especially in these trying times, but they must also be examples of caring and compassion toward those who are severely affected by this pandemic and who need the help of government officials and authorities the most.” Calixto-Rubiano said. —LBG, GMA News
