Limited number of devotees allowed to enter Quiapo Church during First Friday Mass

With Metro Manila now under general community quarantine, some devotees were allowed to enter Quiapo Church for the First Friday Mass, according to James Agustin's report on Unang Balita.

Following government guidelines, only 10 devotees were allowed to enter the church per Mass. The rest were told to stay at Plaza Miranda.

"Nagpapasok kami ng magsisimba tuwing mayroong misa pero limitado lang talaga sa sampu gaya ng sinabi ng IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force)," said Fr. Danichi Hui, Minor Basilica's parochial vicar.

The seats inside the church have markings to guide churchgoers where they can sit and observe social distancing.

A misting tent has been placed at the entrance of the church. The body temperature of churchgoers are checked by personnel wearing Personal protective equipment (PPE) suits. Those distributing communion are likewise wearing PPE suits.

Five Masses are held at Quiapo Church scheduled at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., the report said.

Devotees are also encouraged to attend Mass online. --KBK, GMA News
