Quezon City gov't reports 2,311 COVID-19 cases


The Quezon City government on Friday reported that, based on information from the Department of Health, there are 2,311 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city.

The total number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 2,201 while there are 2,121 cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices.

There are currently 846 active COVID-19 cases in the city.

There are 57 new recoveries on Friday, bringing the total to 1,083 while there are six new cases of deaths. The total number of deaths currently stands at 192.

Quarantine facility

The HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 18 available beds for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients.  There are 18 confirmed patients, 5 suspected and probable patients in HOPE 1 facility.

At the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 232 beds are occupied by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 62 beds are available. Those who have been tested in QC’s community-based testing are brought in HOPE 2 for self-isolation while waiting for their results.

The HOPE 3 Facility was recently opened to accommodate confirmed and suspected COVID-19 nursing mothers and their babies. The facility is equipped with 84 beds, cribs, bassinets and other baby essentials.  As of June 5, a total of 55 patients are admitted in the facility. -- BAP, GMA News
