NCRPO: QC cop to face admin raps after testing positive for illegal drugs

Administrative charges are set to be filed against a Quezon City police officer who tested positive for use of illegal drugs, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Thursday.

NCRPO chief Police Major General Debold Sinas also ordered the Quezon City Police District to disarm the policeman of his issued firearm.

The NCRPO said the drug testing among 70 police officers was conducted last May 28. It noted that Police Staff Sergeant Arthur Santos II tested positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

Sinas said random drug testing would continuously be conducted to identify personnel engaged in illegal drugs. —AOL, GMA News
