COVID-19 cases in Quezon City reach 2,635

The number of COVID-19 cases in Quezon City as tallied by the Department of Health climbed to 2,635 on Saturday, the local government unit said.

This represents an increase of 30 over Friday’s total of 2,605 cases

Of the total number of 2,635 cases as of Saturday, those confirmed to have complete addresses in the city were 2,539.

The QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices were able to validate 2,477 cases.

Active cases of COVID-19 totalled 965.

Total recoveries went up to 1,304 after 13 new recoveries were reported.

Meanwhile, the death toll increased to 208 after one new case of death was reported.

The local government unit said the following areas remain under special concern lockdown due to the increase in the number and clustering of COVID-19 cases:

  • Sitio Militar in Bahay Toro
  • Calle 29 in Libis
  • Kaingin Bukid in Apolonio Samson
  • 138 Erlin Garcia Street in E. Rodriguez
  • 52 Imperial Street in E. Rodriguez
