Pregnant woman among stranded passengers on NAIA sidewalks for 2 to 3 days now

A four-month pregnant woman is among the locally stranded individuals (LSIs) staying on Ninoy Aquino International Airport's sidewalks for two to three days now awaiting their fate on when they can finally fly home.

According to Raffy Tima's report on "24 Oras," Radzma Padua went to Metro Manila to apply for a work abroad when the government implemented a lockdown.

Padua has no ticket yet, but she took her chance and went to the terminal after she heard that other LSIs were being aided by the government.

"Wala na kasi akong matitirahan papunta sa Caloocan, pinapalayas na kasi ako, 'yung may ari ng tinitirahan ko. Sana matulungan lang ako, makauwi ako doon, doon ako manganak sa pamilya ko. Maraming tumutulong sa akin, dito wala," Padua said.

Due to her condition, other stranded individuals are taking care of Padua.

"Kaming lahat nag-aalaga sa kanya . . . . Kung mahirapan, lalaki ako nga nahirapan, babae pa kaya," Alfredo Benalla said.

Meanwhile, other LSIs outside the Villamor Airbase golf course sought help from President Rodrigo Duterte.

"President Duterte sana naman 'yung mga daing namin, tulungan niyo naman kami. Kabayan tayo, eh. 'Wag niyo naman kaming pabayaan dito," Jazmin Villegas said. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
